Small, cozy hotel in Roda *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel Pegasus is located in Roda, about a 5-10 minutes to the beach where all the shops and tavernas. The hotel is small but cozy. We had booked a family room with Kajütenbett. But the beds are only for children until about 140 cm large. Our son (160cm) had to therefore a bit zusammeln balls; -) The rooms are spacious, but with the cleanliness took our room maid not sure. I therefore at the front desk by the chef directly complained and we see there ... It is! Pool and snack bar are immaculate and cheap! In the hotel there were mostly English guests.
Location
The hotel is located in Roda, about a 5-10 minutes to the beach with many shops, supermarkets and taverns. Roda is also a good starting point for many excursions in the north or west Corfu. about 50 minutes drive from Corfu town.
Friendliness was very important in the hotel. The manager speaks German, otherwise always spoke English. There are various. German speaking doctors in the proximity to visit, we needed Luckily no. Just like already mentioned above the room is not very well cleaned. But after my complaint the maid but a bit more effort. Otherwise the external environment such as pool, garden, pool and snack bar and bar very well maintained.
Gastronomy
READY for breakfast was a buffet, with two kinds of bread", white or dark toast bread. 2 Jams, honey, cheese, ham, eggs, orange juice and coffee or tea. There was no hot chocolate or Nutella for the kids. The snack bar and pool bar was awesome, the food was delicious and cheap! Try club sandwiches, mmh ... The "breakfast woman" was very attentive and friendly!
Sport & Entertainment
Lobby was free with your own laptop occupied. Also there is a internet corner available. In the hotel itself there were no leisure facilities including sports or entertainment. It was really only in the hotel for sleeping or chill out at the pool; -) The beach chairs and umbrellas were free of charge at the pool, on the beach but paid extra.
Room
The rooms were spacious, the cleanliness I mentioned above. Air conditioning is available and you can adjust it yourself to the desired temperature. Safe was available in the closet, the is free. TV is also available, but only Greek channels!
Tips and recommendations
Restaurant in Roda to visit. Unfortunately, I don't know the name more. But it is the end of the main shopping street and right AFTER the restaurant SMILES. You eat delicious at a reasonable price, and the waiters are very friendly!!! A trip to Pantokrator definitely worth it. The views are above is terrific!!! Also worth a visit in Kassiopi, I would have to say it was the small Cote d'Azur. Also Sidari, the town, or Canal d'Amour are worth a visit. Waterpark in Acharavi is small, so very well arranged. There is so much to see and explore on Corfu ...
