Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AIn our holiday we spent most of our time on the beach, of course, that is why we have not used the leisure activity options at this hotel, so we can not service the hotel pool. We had only üf, the rating on the breakfast. For our needs the hotel was adequate. Since we however the 2te week on KOH Phi Phi Island village in stayed, we can recommend orchid Phuket resort; there are a lot better hotels; I am sure you can find them in Phuket. The path to the beach was very short, for families with children it would be very dangerous but, because it is on a busy road and the driver (car, Scooter) as not much consideration.
During our stay cables were renewed in the street (noise, dust, disabilities). That was a bit annoying for us, but we could continue to enjoy our holiday. Such work must also be made sometime.
As we only had bed and breakfast, we ate out every day. First night: neighbouring restaurant: much too expensive and not necessarily better than in the hotel restaurant. Then we ate only in small, local restaurants for a fraction of the price: 10 €for two including drinks mostly. Of course you no exceptional service or facilities. Although we had the experience: the seedier the restaurant looks from outside, the better is the food and the price/performance ratio. Of other holiday-makers but we also heard, compared to other times, prices have risen strongly. But there are plenty of opportunities in the immediate vicinity.
TRIPS we did not book through the travel agency, but in the kiosk on the street: everything okay except: act! not only with clothes, but also with trips! We did not realize, the first (Safari) trip, we paid the normal price and our Mitausflügler got the same performance partly for half. The second (Boat) trip about at 60% cheaper.
Massages did we, also in the numerous lounges on the street, was great, however, we can compare the services with the hotel, because not used.
not far away is also the patong beach, the 'hub'. We stayed one afternoon there, in return we were very glad, that our hotel on karon beach is: peace and relaxation, which was what we wanted. Who needs party, probably better off at patong. Kata beach is within walking distance, and is very nice.
Conclusion: for the first Thailand holiday was great the first week: the environment, less the hotel itself. The second week on KOH Phi Phi was pure relaxation (PHI Phi Island village).
