A wonderful holiday *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel consisted of a hall – with reception area, spa and fitness room – and 8 apartment buildings. There were 225 apartments, a large dining hall, a cafeteria, a pool bar and a steak house.
The whole area was clean, the beautiful garden area was well-tended, the proximity to the beach was ideal.
The food was impressive. I'd rarely had better food in a seaside hotel. There were guests of different nationalities: Scandinavians, Spanish, Germans, English. Perfect harmony.
Location
Perfect location right at the beach. There were dunes right next to the hotel, the sea only 50 metres away. No streets, no artificial promenades.
Bars, small shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. A large super market was just a bus stop away in Can Picafort or in the centre of Playas de Muro.
Trips could be booked with the tour operators or at the reception.
The reception was just great. The receptionists were very nice and extremely child friendly. Unfortunately, the reception area was a bit crowded during "rush hour", but the receptionists never lost their patience or their humour. Really exemplary!!!!
The waiters were fast and attentive. They quickly took orders and served the drinks, removed the plates and still had time for a little small talk from time to time. Super!!!
Room cleaning was okay – just the bathroom was a little old. That could definitely be renovated.
Gastronomy
Top, top, top.
I'd worked as a tourist guide in various countries for several years, and I'd never had better food in a seaside hotel. A large choice, very good food quality, wonderfully prepared, beautifully arranged, and those extremely tasty small delicacies which were evidence of highest cuisine standards.
No canteen food at all. Really super!!!!
