Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AFor a city break in Zagreb I stayed 3 nights at the hotel porin. The hotel offers a restaurant, 24 hours front desk has about 80 rooms(estimates) with balcony. The furniture corresponded to 3 stars. TV with international channels, hairdryer, shower, heating. Unfortunately no refrigerator or air conditioning. The rooms are quite large and very clean. It is not a new hotel for example the carpets expired in places and the wallpaper or signs of wear and tear walls Please be advised in public areas. Still it is clean and evoked the feeling as a guest welcome. The hotel is often used by attendees and tour groups.
Location
The hotel is located on the direct way between airport (10km) and the city center of Zagreb (7km). It is very quiet location on a side street in a quiet residential area. Nearby there is a clinic , tennis center and of course the fair (about 3km) at the back are located directly in the 3 train tracks but I hardly noticed trains. The taxi fare to the town center is about 10 euros. The bus about 2 Euro and the bus stop is approximately 350 meters away. I found it ideally situated for visits to the city, the exhibition center at night as you peace from the noise of the city.
The staff was very friendly and made a lot of effort and also helped with really good advice on trips. All the staff spoke good English and sometimes also German(in the restaurant). The rooms were cleaned daily and the handtowels were changed even when they weren't on the ground.
Gastronomy
The breakfast was the it including was totally sufficient. There were rolls, bread, several jams, cold cuts, cheese, fruit, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, sausage, yogurt, coffee. So it was like everywhere, and it was delicious and also here made the impression of served with love. Evenings in the restaurant a good selection from all food at reasonable prices. Unfortunately, there was only a salad to choose from. Also here everything very clean.
