Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel was very very nice. Personally out of all the hotels I have seen on Lanzarote it was the nicest.
As the hotel had four parts and not all the people were on one big heap. The seperate hotel part for families ment that not too many children were in the main part. Yet it was still very friendly towards families.
The condition of the hotel was top! Couldn´t be reflected on photos. I can´t understand how some people could complain about cleanness and condition of the area. Of course it wasn´t a five star hotel like you knew from western Europe with a lot of gold etc. But you couldn´t complain about anything. It was clean in the rooms and at the pool and the buffet.
Location
The distance to the beach was of course top. Perfect for a couple. No annoying sunglasses sellers. If you wanted to be even more undisturbed though you should hire a car. A bit further away there were some very nice, lonely bays. To eat you should have gone down to the promenade in the direction of the harbour to the left and not into the tourist area. Much better food for a lot less money. For shopping, the shopping strip had more than enough possibilities.
Enough doctors were available. I was stung by a sea urchin. In the hospital there was a German doctor.
Staff was always super friendly. Always friendly and helpful. Also the rooms were always clean. Towards 3-5 PM the rooms were cleaned. A bit strange was the woman who borught chocolate to the rooms every day (sometimes as late as 11 PM).
Childrens care and doctor were available in the hotel. Only drawback were the language skills. Altough everybody spoke English even if not perfectly.
Gastronomy
Number of restaurants in the hotel were fantastic. We only booked breakfast though so I couldn´t comment on the dinner buffet. Breakfast was great though. Nothing to complain about with the hygiene. The bars were at most 1 Euro more expensive than the ones outside the hotel. Instead they were much tastier.
Sport & Entertainment
Sport was scarce. There were tennis courts but only hard court which wasn´t very nice for a tennis player. Also the golf course next door wasn´t really something for real golf players. The Kiko-land for children was ridiculous if you asked me. Price for internet was very high, too. 5 Euros per hour in the hotel. In other countries it cost maybe 1.50.
The three suns were given for the pool and the beach. They were perfect. Not a single hair in the pool (which you have fairly often). No cigarette on the beach and showers and sunbeds were always clean. Reduction only because of the sport and entertainement.
Room
We had booked a hotel room without a view of the sea. When we then got our room we were overwhelmed. A huge room with a view of the sea. Bathroom was in top condition. The air conditioning was quiet so that you could have it on over night. You couldn´t have got a better room.
Tips and recommendations
We would recommend avoiding the tourist areas and to drive to the lonely places. Hiring a car made it a lot easier. They could be hired just about everywhere.
