11 days with family at Sahl Hasheesh Bay, Hurghada
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe recently built hotel is located in a developing area south of Hurghada. The building is huge, with more than 800 rooms but not crowded. Our first room looked to the noisy pool and animation area, but the reception staff was helpful and provided us with another, more quiet one and much better view to the sea. The room was clean and big enough for our purpose. The pools were clean, equipped with pool bars and slides, also for smaller children. The beach is enormous, with hundreds of sunbeds and parasols available. The sea was warm and clean but with less coral and tropical fish than in other places I've seen earlier at Red sea. A nice promenade allowed me to jog a few kilometers every early morning. Animation and beach music were constant. The main restaurant and the smaller ones at the pools or on the beach served delicious, plenty but not too varied food and drinks. The staff and waiters were very friendly and helpful. A show was organized on a stage every evening, which is practically the only entertaintment available, since there are no streets, shops, bars or nightlife in the close surroundings yet, and the inner city takes ca. 10 minutes by taxi. However, the hotel is good for relaxing and regeneration especially for families with smaller children.
