Hotel Pyramisa Blue Lagoon

'My husband and I visited Pyramisa Hotel – Blue Lagoon in June 2009. Was our first visit in Egypt and to be honest we were very anxious and curious. The moment we arrived everything was over our expectation. Everything was so clean, staffs were very friendly and everything was so … wonderful. Our room was clean and the view was beautiful. After we were installed we went to see the surroundings and … wowwwwwwwww!!! It was love at first side: the pools, the trees, everything. The Restaurant and the Bar were always clean and the waiters were very friendly and I must say hardworking. Mostly we were served by Ahmed, Abdul and the waiter that looks like Charlie Chaplin. I am sorry, I don’t know his name. We are very happy with the service in both places: Restaurant and Bar. Food was very good and there were many choices, for everybody. My favourite was fish and rice with salad and some of the deserts were … delicious. At Bar we met the barman with curly hair and positive attitude; always happy and always having something good to say about life and people. Sorry again; I don’t know his name. I hope we’ll see him again. My husband and I, we are no smokers and the fact that you can smoke anywhere in the hotel was not very pleasant for us. We think that should be areas for smokers and areas for non smokers.
Every time we went to the pool everything was spotless. Pool’s staffs were always very friendly and helpful; clean towels and clean pool all the time. Always asking how we are, if we like Egypt, the hotel and if can help with anything. Every morning we were invited by members of the entertainment team (Sasa, Mahmoud, the woman from Tunisia and the Russian girls and boy) to Water Aquarobiq. Never had in mind that I’ll gone do this in holiday but it was fun and made us feel very good. We did not miss any of the shows in the hotel. They were funny and made us laugh a lot. I think that Sasa and Mahmoudi are very good and passionate about what they are doing. You could see the music is going through their veins like they were one with the music. We were really impressed by both of them and I think they have the necessary qualities to succeed in life.
I would like to thank to our room maid who always made our return very welcomed and pleasant. We always found the room clean and different bed arrangements every day. Also, I would like to thank to Reception staff, security people and managers who always were friendly and helpful.
It was like a dream, a wonderful dream. We are back to England now but I really miss the hotel, the food and the pool. Since I came back to UK everybody is asking me where I have been because I am very tan and I look very good. I was white when we arrived in Egypt and I am black now. Some of my colleagues made some jokes because of my tan, like ‘ I don’t think that the hotel where you were was a good one because they didn’t have enough water to wash your dirt’ or ‘ all I can see is your eyes and your teeth’. My sister was shocked when she saw me, more precisely my sun tan. Everybody is asking me where I was in holiday and I recommended Pyramisa Hotel- Blue Lagoon to everybody. And because of my tan, the way I spoke about hotel and the pictures I made in hotel nine people from my work place come to me to ask me about hotel’s address and surroundings. We made friends in Egypt: Ahmed the waiter; Ahmed from the shop near Reception and Sabry who has a shop in El Dahar (Old Town).
We miss a lot the hotel and all I am thinking is that when I wake up in the morning I’ll be, still thereJ.'
