Fabulous hotel and amazing, helpful staff
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AI always make a point of checking out Trip Advisor and hope anyone interested in visiting Egypt sees this. Hurghada is totally safe even though there has been some unrest in Egypt it has not affected the Red Sea resorts. I stayed at this hotel from 26 Feb until 12 March 2011 with 2 other female friends and we could not fault either the hotel or the service. The staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble for them. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean, mattresses turned every day, clean sheets and towels and beach towels every day. My other visits to Luxor and Sharm led me to tell my friends that although all inclusive we would probably be eating out as the food in Egypt is really bad HOW WRONG I WAS - we didnt have 1 bad meal in the whole 2 weeks. The soup and fish prepared by the chef are to absolutely die for. Outdoor BBQ's and speciality evening meals - scrumptious.
We got VIP treatment and could have been due to the fact that there are not many people visiting Egypt at the moment, however I do believe that the staff would always give 100% but under the circumstances I think we got 150%. I will definately be going back to this hotel and if funds allow would like to go back later this year, but definately next year. If I had any suggestions for improvement it would be the evening entertainment, there were a couple of really good nights, and a couple of dead nights and with not many of the clubs and bars near us being open due to lack of custom it became a bit boring of an evening. I really hope that people support Egypt during this unsettled time, and I hope that the workers in Egypt get they rightful reward, the staff in this hotel deserve much much more that they currently receive. So glad my friends felt the same as I did and we made a point of leaving tips in each service area, dining room, bar, housekeeping and the reception. Thank you all for making our holiday so special.
