Hotel Pyramisa Isis Luxor

I couldn't Imagine a more beautiful place to be in the world. The hotel is positioned on the east bank of the Nile and has outstanding views of the west bank . It's about a 10 min walk from Luxor temple. And the Cornish the lively thing about this hotels location is that you are not right in the city but are within walking distance. There are many things to do in and around the hotel.

The service at this hotel is really what makes it special . I have visited this hotel 3 times now and out of all the places I have been the service has never lived up to the pyramisa . My favorite part of the service is the welcoming and caring approach of the staff. Where should I start. Firstly the bell captain , or number 3 as he is populaly known as. Himself and his team ate quick and efficiant on helping you swiftly book in at ease to the hotel and offer you ad much help as wanted without being pushy . I often find at hotels that the bell boys and baggage men van often be too helpfully and somewhat uncomftable this is trully not the case at this hotel . The staff in the breakfast resturant ( I only went b&b so couldn't possibly comment on the staff that work in the evening) are brilliant every morning the are welcoming and cater to your needs.

The only reason I rate this lower is because I haven't eaten in all the resturants . the hotel has techniqually 4 resturants . You have the main resturants where you have your breakfast this is converted to a buffet meal in the evening, the breAkfast is of good continental standard and they even offer a pancake man who cooks eggsV to your choice . he also does ommlette fand pancakes. There is diet corner. And a good selection of bread cerols ect. There is also an Italian this is of good quality and is relativly well priced . The Chinese resturants the offer I haven't visited but my friend said the did the best chow mein they had ever tasted !! During the day the bar at the pool is open and offers a good range of hot and cold meals.

The hotel has two pools , one is heated and the other is not. The non heated pool is freezing and at first it takes a bit of a steady plunge to get in but I can honestly say it is a heaven the heat is so intense some parts of the day and this pool is the best way to cool down!! At around 45 degrees you will need to be in the cold pool or in the air con for most part of the day. We visited last in July and unfoetunatly the cold pool was being renovated but the hotel notified us . We therefore had a chance to use the other pool. Much smaller then the other one but by no means small the pool is heat controlled but is still refreshing . Some hotels make there heated pools like baths this isn't the case . It serves it's purposes as a nice pool for there winter which would probably be our summer . There isn't anything in they way of entertainment but I think it's fair to say that this would ruin the peace of the hotel.

I have stayed in a city view room and a Nile view and personally prefer the city view. The rooms arre of good standard and ate
are presented beautifully . The air conditioning is brilliant and not loud . The rooms each offer sat tv so you can keep updated with goings on this was great when we visited in April and hot stuck with the icland volcano . Otherwise I wouldn't mention it.the beds weren't particularly comfy but they were sleepable. The rooms are cleaned to a good standard and we often found towline sculptures of swans and crocodiles!! There is a safty deposit box in the rooms but are a bit confusing to use!!

My main suggestion to anyone staying at this hotel is to make an effort ri talk to th staff . They ate lovely people and will take good care of you if you ate confident enough to make conversation with them. Tip at the start to the pool men and bell boys this will secure your luggage is looked after when you check out and that your gurenteed a subbed of your choice all week!! I usually tip the waiters about30% of the bill each time and then a bigger amount at the end of the weeks for thanks. The breakfast waiters I tip at the end of the week and usually give a hois tip to the ones that have been particuly helpfully and efficiant. And I tip the cleaners at the end of the week although I have been told tipping at the start again makes for efficiant and special cleaning. It may be noted here that the staff do not expect tips . And for them to recurve them is a great sign of gratitude. Another point is to not eat the salads drink tap water or have ice in drinks. This is due to the water . It's not dirty our stomachs are just not used to the diffetmtence . If you so decide to stay then venture over to the wast bank one evening and eat at the resturants with the roof terrece. Don't forget to visit the Turkish bat at the hotel for shisha and a beautiful view of the sunset
