Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AIt feels like coming home, every time we return to the Isis. If I said this was my 15th time, and we stay for a month at this hotel, that says something be itself!
I often wonder when I read bad reports of this hotel, were they staying in the same Hotel as I do.
The staff are polite and helpful. The rooms are clean and tidy. The Nile view, over the pools and wonderful gardens, have to be seen to be believed. I would recommend this hotel to anybody of any age. Once you realise you are in a different country, thing are done in a different way and respect is a mutual thing, then you can get on enjoying a wonderful holiday at a wonderful Hotel.
Location:
As two ladies on our own, we are treated like Queens and never feel threatened, even when going out at night. In fact I feel safer walking out at night in Luxor, than I do at home.
Location
Not that we visit the Temples any more, (Been there, done that) but Luxor and Karnak Temples are only a short taxi ride away. Just a walk along the Nile side, taking in the atmosphere of Luxor has to be done.
My other half and myself are already planning our return to the Isis. While I get on with my sun bathing, he knows I will be well looked after, as he goes off for his walk. Chatting to the locals, catching the ferry to the westbank, exploring the temples and generally losing himself in the back streets of the real Egypt.
The service within the hotel is excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is no language barrier apart from the odd word or phases that may be misunderstood by either side.
The rooms are clean and tidy and the cleaning staff are there to help you in anyway they can, so don't be afraid to ask.
Laundry service is affordable and fast.
If the guest desk is not available the desk staff are always willing to help you with any problems.

There 2 pools, one heated in the winter. The gardens are beautiful and well tended. The pool staff are willing to help you at anytime.
Room
The standard rooms are basic but for the price I have no complaints.
Bathroom clean and tidy , with a selection of toiletries. The room has TV, Air con and safe. I've never had any trouble sleeping!
Tips and recommendations
I know the street traders can be a bit over powering sometimes but once you get used to them, a firm 'la shucran' (No thank you) is usually enough to fend them off.
