Very recommendable! *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel had less than ten rooms, which were very beautifully furnished and very clean. The hotel could be booked with breakfast. There was a small bar with recreation room. Also breakfast could be eaten outside.
Location
The hotel was just down the road on a very steep slope and was somewhat complicated to find. The great view of the rocks and the peace compensate for that. The nearest taverns were within walking distance (if you're sportive!) The monasteries were just a 5 minute car drive.
The owner took care himself for his guests and was very attentive and friendly, but not prying. He only spoke English. Requests were immediately dealt with. The room and the bathroom were very clean.
Gastronomy
The breakfast was sumptuous for Greek standards: There was filter coffee, orange juice, tea, hot and cold milk, bread rolls, boiled eggs, 1 variety each of cold meat and cheese, honey, jam, cookies, cakes and fresh fruit. Everything was delicious and was immediately refilled.

Room
Our room no. 103 had 6 windows with fly screens, a refrigerator with freezer and an air conditioner. It was super still and clean and very beautifully furnished. A balcony was not available, but there was a breakfast room with a balcony for all. A TV was also there, but without a German channel.
Tips and recommendations
The monastery should be visited as early as possible, otherwise the crowds threaten to crush in the heat. Not every monastery was opened every day, definitely be informed in advance! Women may not wear pants, shoulders and knees must be covered. There were appropriate clothes, however, placed at the entrance at all monasteries. Self catering and budgets: There was a Lidl in Kalambaka!
