Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThis was in accordance with the RIU-Investments in Puerto Plata and sunny beach our third RIU-all-inclusiveArea, so we are due to the US known 'mass processing' the absolutely recommendable TUI tour 'jungle, Feuerkegen Tucane -with reservations and went for it. However, they were absolutely superfluous.
after about 4.5 hours drive from San Jose, take at first we were overwhelmed by the size of the complex. You would expect, caused by the many guests each other on the feet force, was because of the size of the area and the various restaurants/ bars, however no sign.
the RIUArea is currently still considered only location on the Long Bay. A walk on the beach until the end of the bay took 30 minutes to be up. You can, like the pelicans (?) in the swoop into the fall, to catch fish. The beach is unfortunately not 'Caribbean', but rather sand grey, therefore likes the water maybe not so inviting work( is however clean).
at the beach you can riding excursions, massages (1 hour for 25-30 dollars) and so on book. I recommend an excursion by motor from there to the Playa de coco (about 17-20 dollar pp). Is about as expensive as by taxi, the only difference being that it is by boat a lot beautiful and faster.
the trip to Nicaragua we have been associated with the 'TUI-Aunt' (Nice) for $140. Ursula 'Uschi' was extremely nice and funny!
the trip to Nicaragua (Granada, Masaya, Managua and volcano Masaya) was great, travel guide Carlos (Nicaragua-Austrian origin) was perfect!
oh so, the hotel: large rooms (5043/5044), good mattresses, clean as a whistle, large balcony, bathroom huge (2 washbasin!). Mini bar was always well stocked, there was also the RIU probably usual, on the wall hanging four liter bottles alcohol to (not used) gas.
although very, very many Americans in the hotel were (isn't far to), it was feared noise at night.
the main restaurant is huge, the buffets accordingly. And the best: the taste was not so cafeteria style as in the RIUHotels in the Dominican Republic/BG, but really top notch! What I also overnight for the selection shall apply. Furthermore, there are 3 specialty restaurants. We stayed at the steak house and the restaurant. Spic!
Speaking of quality and quantity the food: the fitness center is too very large, is however probably hardly used it. The devices may be a bit better maintained, there should also towels board.
not the quality of the beach a lot with what I got (were-as almost all Europeans- a lot too tired), therefor was against 07:30 o'clock the breakfast restaurant very good visited.
Therefore, there is also afterwards-nothing to complain about. A week you can very good bear. Now!
