4.5 suns medium sized hotel with much dark woods and deep red carpet, built in 5 years ago and well maintained. The tables for breakfast on the terrace are coveted objects, unfortunately, there were a few of them. Our only criticism: in a 4 star hotel should not the use of the room safe with Euro 16,85 per week will be deducted in addition and there is no magnifying mirror in the bathroom, otherwise is a great value for the price.

The location of the hotel is beautiful and the sea view rooms just fantastic. We recommend the beach Praia de Falèsia, not easy to get to, especially at high tide (it is located in the hotel, but for a tide schedule a note is) but you rewarded with a nice long sandy beach. The coastal Praia de Falèsia is framed with red rocks, some of the small beach restaurants (for the Mittagsnack very good + cheap, our recommendation: "Praia Brainixa") and some places in which you can bathe almost alone. In the small Olhos de Agua there were a few small restaurant's, a small bazaar for the important things you need in the neighboring town (toward Vilamoura) there is also a supermarket. Shopping possibilities: daily a courtesy bus is provided which takes you directly from the hotel to a large shopping center (130 shops) if you need?

Service

From the moment we arrived at the front desk is friendly welcomed with a glass of champagne and despite the during peak season (hotel was full) was the check in very efficient and Meaningfully. We were especially delighted by the TUI Begrüßungsvorstellung to which the management and the staff at the various departments steer us sat down and Weaves-charming welcomed. All the staff were extremely friendly. Also the room cleaning was exemplary, and even on other floors meet the ladies always had a friendly "Bom dia".

Gastronomy

For us this luxury hotel combines the very high quality of the breakfast and Abendessenbuffets or got served (three different dishes - fish, meat and vegetarian had to choose from). The fixed mealtimes ensure that really everything was freshly prepared, so this was not a problem for us. Changes in the mealtimes were also very flexible, it just needed a day earlier the head waiter information and got a other table(while maintaining the times when you every day the same table) We tried the theme restaurant, but we were disappointed, the offered more "Portuguese" kitchen we found not exceptional and although only a few tables were served, was the less attentive service than the big dining room.

Sport & Entertainment

The Gym facilities, such as. The tennis court wasn't used by us. Through the construction of the Riu Guarana (huge, very noisy bunker!! ) There is no longer sufficient space for other sports. On a chair by the pool, we can do without the view of 23 degrees warm sea water, sun + sandy beach were much much more attractive. Unfortunately, some the term: Please don't seem to still not understood and early in the morning the beach chairs with towels occupied! Entertainment, shows and folklore evening.

Room

Spacious interior design: with a oversized bed, a table with 2 chairs, TV and minibar, very clean and well maintained. The bathroom is spacious laid out, with bath, toilet and bidet, a large vanity with an equally large mirror, but no magnifying mirror. The terrace, with beautiful sea views offers enough for 2 beach chairs (with cushions) and a small table and Wäscheauszugstrockner.

Tips and recommendations

Since no private hotel beach available (it is all public beaches) is a rental car recommended also the many small bays and larger beaches to visit and to get to know you. Also, cities or attractions from Faro, Portimäo, Lagos, Silves and Sagres!! We looked at us inspiration. From the west (Cape St. Vincent) to east (Tavira) so the Algarve cliffs to Sandalgarve beautiful places we visited and beautiful impressions to take home. Of course was a highlight Lisbon with TUI travel service (a little culture and history), unfortunately is a day too short for such a trip. Although we had a cheap rental car on the internet on site, offered to bring the cars to the hotel booked a supplier, however we had to a lot of patience upon arrival and finally got a not vollgetanktes, dirty car ... Worry-free would be the offeror TUI at the hotel the added a package (5 days, 3 numbers) had, but after one is always be SMARTER! ; -)
