Good middle-class hotel right in the city center *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe Ramada is located directly in Gastown, in the oldest district Vancouver. It is not far to the harbor. You can stay in the city all walkable from here. At routes you take the Sky Train or bus. All stops can be found in the immediate vicinity. The rooms were big enough. They usually have even bigger in Canada with two double beds, but the two twin beds in our rooms also have enough. The bathroom was cleaned every day with otherwise everything made a very clean impression. Our room was equipped with TV and air-conditioning. The staff at reception and breakfast room were very friendly and helpful. There were only 2 downsides at this hotel. Our room faced the courtyard and had little light and no view. The breakfast room is down in the basement and has no windows. The staff, while efficient tables wiped refilled and things could, but didn't hide the very poor offer. You know continental breakfast for our European taste very used to. But there were a really very poor choice. Not even eggs and bacon. They had toast and bagels and jam, honey, cream cheese and maple syrup as a condition. The "breakfast buffet" was everything else than adequate and caring. However, we were satisfied with the hotel and have enjoyed the 3 days in Vancouver.
