Grande dame hotel in the heart of Oxford. Very polite and courteous staff anticipate your every wish. Just as you would expect for England. The room decor fits in perfectly with the total ambience of the hotel. A renovation at the one or other place or are a bit more thourough cleaning by the maids would not harm. Breakfast costs £17.50 regular basis (usually included in the room rate), great selection of typical English breakfast; there is also the possibility only from the buffet breakfast area. The atmosphere and furnishings in the bar and restaurant areas were very good and reasonably priced in. Hotel Mercure Orbis was very good location and right next to the pedestrian area of Oxford street. For a private, I would prefer, and another hotel this regardless of the price of the hotel.
