Hotel Ratskeller

The Hotel is just few minutes walk from Schwarzenberg Castle. The hotel itself is part of a city tour program.
The area is popular among motorbikers, hikers and nature lovers as the surrounding mountains are very green and there are some good hiking trails.
There are some shops around, selling local souvenirs.
Despite its central location, it was quiet and we had a good sleep.

Very friendly and well-trained staff in the restaurant. Our room was also very well cleaned.

There is a restaurant and a cafe in the hotel. We were pleased that they were even serving food between lunch and dinner time, which is not usual in Germany.
The cuisine offered is a good mixture of German, local and international dishes. There are dishes of different price category on the menu, some dishes are offered in a smaller size. Everything looks and tastes fresh. I especially loved cream mushroom soup. Wines are also very good. We were told they are german.
We tried other restaurants in Schwarzenberg, but they were not so good.

Our room and bathroom were very big and better furnished than one would expect from a 3-star hotel. Beds are large and comfortable, there's also a flatscreen TV and a fridge. Minibar can be filled on request. We didn't need anything more.

The hotel is deffinitely worth the price we paid, even more. We found the hotel prices very affordable.
