Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe were greeted with this question and a broad smile from the officials in the Maldives, and this really hit the nail on the head. We didn't think that the second time in a vacation area could be as good as the first. Things were very different on our second visit to Reethi. From the front desk to the ladies from Guest Relations, everyone was very welcoming and after the first 50 meters toward the room barefoot, we knew that we were finally back home! It was also amazing how quickly the staff reacts when a "repeat offender" is concerned (and there are many on the island, more than the average). What impressed us particularly was the cordiality with which the staff greeted us. During our stay, there was always an opportunity, to talk more about families and personal problems. The service standard- no matter where, whether looking after guests, in the restaurant, the bar or the room service and the facilities of the island are still just as good as they were for our first visit. We noticed again that the guest structure on Reethi is very balanced. We got to know lots of nice people from Germany, Switzerland and Britain, who we have stayed in contact with after our vacation. If all worked as agreed, we will see many of our new friends in November 2012 on our next visit to Reethi.
