For a weekend trip to recommend *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe had booked this hotel last minute on the Himmelfahrtswochenende. This was a weekend special. In other words, parking and breakfast included, overall for three nights 250 euro. We would have to pay for the breakfast (26 Euro) we would have been upset.
So for breakfast:
The breakfast buffet was very extensive, but the quality of the rolls/bread very bad. Sticky and dry. It was also very hectic and fills. The bar was also used as a breakfast room. For three days we had to get the coffee twice. Also after multiple requests we were ignored. Otherwise, the food and the selection was very good. Fresh scrambled eggs (but cold), hard boiled eggs, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, full English breakfast (beans, potatoes, etc.) and natural Crossiantes and sweet pastries. But it was very delicious!
Hotel Bar:
Very expensive, tiny cocktails, but tasty.
The Rooms:
4-Star German. Unfortunately, there was at check-in didn't have a double bed room available. We had to us with a room, which had two twin beds. Our first task in the room was of course, Peter, the cleanliness of the room. ☺ Bedside table to the side, beds together, finished!
We were offered, the next day at 12:00 A. M. again ask, whether one double bed would be free, but we had no desire to move. (The best in advance with the hotel as a 'wish' by email or similar to say). The bathroom was big enough, for two but no place. A large mirror, enough towels. Daily Change. The cleaning lady was very fast and clean. There was also a hair dryer, but had no power.
The bed was very comfortable, the sheets and pillows to sleep.
The location: off the beaten path, which makes this quiet, good for sleep. Nearby metro and bus stop, which will bring you directly to the city lead. Furthermore, a supermarket and a few restaurants nearby, but we didn't use it.
General at Brussels:
To all women: there is no public toilets. In museums, these are often closed. So alternatives. Consider ☺
You can eat very well in Brussels, especially Thai. Close to the metro-station 'stock exchange' there is a Chinese/Thai quarter, also referred to as' Chinatown ', there is a great Thai. Name is' K-touch '.
On the way to the old town on a little square with fountain and garden. There is always a mobile cart ', the typical Belgian waffles' Gouffre ' sold. Definitely try there, nowhere else so delicious.
