Enjoyable place to Stay
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWhen we got to the apartment there was no hot water or air conditioning. We reported this to the reception & within 2 hours there was a technician at the apartment to fix the problems. We got the impression that any issue found would be dealt with promptly. We thought the layout was good and the grounds were always clean. There was lots to do in and around the pool and the kids entertain on an evening was great for our 7 & 4 year old.
Location
The apartments were set in a lovely area. You were not over looked by any other apartment and the gardens were really pretty. There was access to the beach, around a 10 minute walk with kids. There was a small shop on the site & a number of supermarkets within a short walk.
All the staff were really friendly and the majority spoke a number of languages. If there was a language issue there was always someone else there to help. The rooms were cleaned every day except Friday. There is a laundry on site with a washing machine & a tumble dryer. There is also a drying rack fitted to the outside wall of the apartment. Any issues we had were dealt with promptly & efficiently.
Gastronomy
For our family we found the food to be good. There was always something that the kids could eat, but our kids are not fussy eaters. There was a lot of variety but not a lot of red meat i.e. mainly chicken, pork & fish. The major issue we had with the dining was the dress code. In the evening Gentlemen were expected to wear long trousers & we had only taken one pair with us. However, everyone else could wear what they liked, except bathing suits. We felt that this was unfair as the majority of people form Northern Europe found it uncomfortably hot in long trousers.
Sport & Entertainment
The entertainments staff were not pushy in getting you involved with activities. There was always something going on in an around the pool. There was plenty of sunbeds and shade available. The Kids disco on a night time was really good. Our 2 girls had a great time. There is also 2 PC with internet access charged at 1 Euro for 10 minutes.
Room
The apartment was a good size and had a fridge, cooker and some basic cooking utensils, plates and cutlery . There was also a TV but we did not use it. There is an outside area with a table and 3 chairs so we were able to sit outside on an evening and the kids had an area they could play in. There is a safe in the bedroom and you can get access to this from reception at a small cost.
Tips and recommendations
Gentlemen take long trousers as you will not get into the restaurant on an evening without them. Do go down to the seaside as there is a lovely walk along the seafront and plenty of restaurants. Although we went all inclusive we did eat out twice and the food was fantastic. There is a beach within 10 minutes walk and you can hire beds and umbrellas for 3 Euro each. We spent 3 days on the beach and there was lots to do and see. Its worth taking some bread as the fish will come right up to you when you feed them. We had a great time snorkelling as well. The sun was deceptive with the wind as you didn't feel that it was that hot. So take care not to burn.
