Ski and gourmet paradise Hotel Rosalpina *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel is located right in the woods and directly by the slopes. When booking this hotel for skiing, the children should definitely be able to ski already. A red run leads to the hotel, which is not that hard but could be a problem for beginners.
Nice, friendly and courteous staff, very clean in all areas. Beautiful suites with walk-in closet, spacious bathroom (shower in the bathtub) and balcony. The children sleep on a sofa-sleeper in the living room. Well thought out wardrobe with plenty of room for all the skiing equipment, helmets etc.
The breakfast buffet is plentiful and varied. Maybe fresh waffles or crepes could also be offered, our children like to eat those in the morning and missed them a bit. In the afternoon a snack of soup, bread, cold meat and cheese, vegetables and cake is served between 2 and 5 pm. Which was very convenient, you could make a small detour from the piste to the food. For dinner you get an excellent 4-course menu + salad buffet + cheese buffet. The cooking is South Tyrolean and Italian. Here again a special praise to the chef, the food was delicious. The hotel has a nice spa area with herbal- and steam sauna + outdoor sauna with panorama windows, the garden has a jacuzzi, from which you have a magnificent view of the Dolomites. In the relaxation room you can relax on hay- or water beds. In the spa there are tea and juice, as well as dried fruit available.
The Plose is a wonderful family ski area, although we found the ski passes at € 191.00 (6 days) for adults and € 134.00 for a child, for only 40 km on the piste and with some old lifts, to be too expensive.
Bottom line: A super nice hotel in which everything is right.We'll definitely come again next winter.
