Hotel Rossalm

A better location during winter vacation isn't imaginable: out of bed and straight onto the slopes, the next ski lift is only a few turns away and the Plose ski region can be immediately explored.
The small mountain route to the valley "Kreuztal" is good to drive with winter tires, the innkeeper will pick up his guests with a snowmobile if they phone him.

All employees were always concerned with the well-being of the guests. Peter always made sure that everything was in order and Werner, an aspiring sommalier, was highly competent at advising the enjoyment-seeking guests during dinner as well as at the cosy bar.
The rooms were already spanking clean upon arrival and remained that way!

Breakfast could satisfy the most demanding skier: various breads and rolls, cheese and sausage from South Tyrol, various jams, granola with yogurt, milk and fresh fruit salad, teas, pastries. Peter prepared fried eggs with crispy bacon upon request. Fresh carrots and apples were available to be pressed into a delicious drink rich in vitamines.
In the evening, the hungry athelete could replenish the calories burned by enjoying a 5-course meal. Special wishes (allergies or dislikes) were respected.

In the middle of the Plose skiing region, the Rossalm cabin also offered tobogganning. Toboggans were available free of charge. It started a short walk away from the front of the cabin; furthermore, a new toboggan run has recently been made available. Depending on the snow conditions, you can be driven up to the Trametsch slope chairlift or to the gondola.
They have a new sauna in use since this winter season: with a view of the sunset and the peaks of the Dolomites, it's easy to completely relax! Beside it is an enormous, hot whirlpool: wonderful!

The rooms have balconies with a fantastic view of the Dolomite Alps. Each balcony has a table and chairs.
The rooms have solid wood furniture and wooden floors. The bathrooms (shower stall, sink, toilet, towel warmers) are new. There was sufficient room in the closet. The room had a TV, but we didn't use it!
Everything was clean and bright.

I personally consider wintertime to be the best time to go there, since you can do some terrific skiing at Plose: nice chalets for the breaks, not that crowded, no waiting at the lifts.
