Oh Well... *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AAt the end of our trip we spent because of its proximity to the airport (Heraklion) a night at the Royal heights resort. After wonderful days at the wonderful East Coast of Crete was the arrival in Malia shocking. Despite the off season travelled on British masses of driving through the Crete-nightlife district. No place to make vacation, but to run away. The Royal heights is a chic, new hotel in the mountains overlooking Malia and the sea. With the current tranquillity it will probably soon be brought to an end, as soon finished highway Traffic almost directly past the hotel thunders. The rooms are large, clean and equipped-straight edge for our taste but a bit bland style and without real Charme. In the relatively small bathroom there is no walk-in shower, just a bathtub with high entrance-nothing for handicapped or elderly people. The check-in was friendly and efficient, we were greeted with a fruit basket, wine and water in the refrigerator. The outdoor pool was not heated and we opted to do, the wellness area great advertised use. Tageslichtlos is located in the basement and this is a part of public health clubs. Certainly we are of a high standard: Wellness in Germany means now, in the sense to move around the temples. Differently here: in addition to the heated indoor swimming pool (freezing!) is a unbedampftes steam room and sauna in the seventies's-ambience with many uneven pitfalls. The breakfast was very good, even if no fresh juices are offered. Strange but the response by the waiter, if you take a seat on the sun terrace should: it could not approve it, as well as other guests want to sit outside. I beg your pardon? The dinner included in the half board turned out to be a culinary flop. After a less inspiring starter (noodles with tomato sauce) was served as a main course chicken breast fillet with a bland Bonduelle-peas and taste neutral rice. In addition there was a sour green salad dressings. With four or five Hotel Star had this did nothing in common, in many German cafeteria pfiffi complex menus are available. Conclusion: Well...
