Hotel Rural Son Trobat

The next town was San Lorenzo about 3 kms away. This was actually only reachable by car. There were shopping possibilities and 3 restaurants. We could recommend the Can Pedro. The nearest beach was the Cala Millor about 8 kms away. There were various excursion and hikes on the island's northeast area.

We were welcomed very friendly by the director, who spoke German well. The room cleaning was always neat. The waiters and waitresses were extremely nice - especially to the children - and ready for all requests and problems.

The breakfast was eaten in the restaurant, the winter garden or also outdoors under the trees. No wishes remained open with the selection and quality (scrambled eggs, fried eggs and various omelets could be ordered individually). The dinner could be selected from an extensive menu card. As a result of the very good kitchen we dined 6 from 7 days at the hotel. Prices for food and drinks were very moderate (1 bottle house wine about €11) . The atmosphere was like in a living room and very comfortable.

There was a good sized outdoor pool and a small children's pool. Beach chairs and umbrellas were sufficiently available. In addition, there was a small indoor pool with sauna and a gym. Massages, etc. could be booked on location.

The rooms were spread over 3 buildings and had very good comforts such as air conditioner, heating, spacious bathroom with large bathtub, and separate shower, minibar, safe, satellite TV, internet connection and direct dial telephones. Our room without terrace was in the main building and was beautifuly large and nicely furnished.

The weather was perfect end of March. We had no rain, it was mostly sunny and ideal for hiking at 20 °C 68 °F were ideal. A car from Palma de Mallorca Airport was absolutely necessary. From Arta there were several wonderful hikes to the northern coast. The market on Tuesday was highly recommendable.
