Disastrous in the rain *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AHuge structure obtained from a monastery / convent set on a private island, 15 min. from Venice. Although lobby is decorated with taste and magnificence, other parts of the 'hotel does not hide the source of the structure ... a convent. Lack of terraces and balconies, and long corridors which are a bit disturbing. The beautiful park, with adjoining swimming pool and small golf course, is unusable in the event of bad weather (rain, cold and / or wind) making the guest feel as a prisoner of the hotel itself does not have an indoor garden or terrace where you can smoke a cigarette in the rain.
Location
The position seemed nothing short of disastrous, 15 min. by speedboat from Venice. Sometimes, the shuttle was full (maximum 34 people), and we had to wait for the next about 20 min. So a trip to Venice from the hotel could take up to 45 minutes! The thing I find most uncomfortable is that this hotel is by no means equipped in the event of adverse weather conditions (wind, rain). The private pier at San Marco is devoid of any cover, so in case of bad weather has forced to wait for the shuttle exposed to the elements. From the pier at the entrance proper, passing through a beautiful tree (nice if it's sunny) of more than 100 meters and also without a minimum coverage in the event of rain is not just best.
The only positive note is that the staff are prepared to go to the highest level.

Breakfast is average, low quality and low variety. I did not try the restaurant. The price does not warrant the economy.
Sport & Entertainment
The pool, when I went there it was closed because of bad weather. The spa and gym simplify the ridiculous for a hotel of this size and category.
Room
Spacious and comfortable, with a huge and comfortable bed. The TV was outdated and as were the faux marble bathrooms. Bathrobes not soft and not brand new. Cleanliness of room was excellent, windows lacked any protection from the insects, I dare not think what would come in the room in fine weather.
Tips and recommendations
If you take this hotel, check the weather forecast. Although the sun may make it more enjoyable than the stay we had, I think that the distance from Venice does not give the feeling of sleeping in this magical city
