Dream beach, muck, partly bad service *

Hotel quite well arranged, flats very winding, and signs plans available, but not easily legible (however, I am very visually impaired). Room quite large, according to the front desk the second floor location ' (it was however the first floor meant). Furnishings Okay, among other things, large flat screen TV with access to the playing of digital photos. However: the door between the bathroom and the toilet was only with very loud separate push to close, similar to the front door, a broken clock radios, no drinking water or drinks in the mini bar (we had booked a junior suite with premium, so soft drinks-service). On our complaints were handled immediately until the next day halfway, and only after complaining at the other complaint or by the very nice TUI-Rep Barbara, gave us the 'balance' extending the room on the day of departure from twelve to 16 hours (otherwise 50 CUC extra). The toilet door still easily blocked, but we found from us.
Even worse were our experience in the main restaurant: mostly sweet rolls or toast or hard bread from the day before to the salted things otherwise not bad at all including daily breakfast sparkling wine, good fruit juices, little selection. More than 2/3 lunch and dinner appetizers sausage and cheese etc. from the breakfast, otherwise probably kanaddischer very often good salmon and paste a major locations. My friend can eat salmon but a thyroid condition not, and after several days salmon has also a fine fish lovers this enough. Furthermore, of course, various salads, which in countries such as Cuba should be careful, however, ... It was next to the main Italian a corner, inter alia, a meat and fish station, where the dishes were prepared in front of the guest. A shame, because both were also fish meat despite the well-known problems in Cuba very nice pieces available, but what the chefs made therefrom, was a forthright joke! With a gala repeating tourists 'in the ' el Caribe was to choose from lobster or duck-we took the duck and the pieces were also served mostly tough and hardly to not to eat. The dessert buffet in the main restaurant was also uninteresting: much to süßcremiges or alternatively dry stuff. Please note: I am a fan of creamy desserts volt A.! To 8:30 p.m. the fruit buffet were almost only still the bowls-a 'beautiful' view for a five star hotel like the sandals! The italian restaurant was in the first week was really quite good, in the second to our great disappointment as poor as in the main restaurant. The beach restaurant, dinner we upset among the left Main a new York steak, the 'medium' demands and bloody well served and ' Flax'n ' was. In the new creperie was next to crepes, the unfortunately were like hockey puck, acceptable pizzas. The drink service by the waiters worked almost overfriendly part inside usually quite fast, in particular with a tip of course, but also without. To get angry but it is, if you are in the beach bar a sprite 'without ice' and one with the words 'it is hot today!' Ice in the cup shovels... The beach in front of the hotel was the nicest of this holiday: very large, clean, soft sand (for long walks in both directions), beautiful sea, mostly clear, almost tub heat. Distances between the umbrellas and, no crowd. The award, however, the Canadians-80% of the hotel audience-significantly preferred, they gave us despite giving daily tips only reluctantly an umbrella in the first series. The main pool was a disgrace-maximally 1.20 to 1.30 m deep and so not suitable for swimming. On the edge with Canadians were flat on it. Supposedly the are the reason, why it in shallow pools were almost only Cuba hotels. Good to very good were the most evening shows. Some small shops in the hotel, but relatively expensive. Very nice staff at the spa-front desk (date classification) and Frisier / Pedikürsalon.
All in all, moderately challenging week Cuba-tour a relaxing beach holiday, but also not more. Sandals Royal hicacos can recommend the way we. The five star hotel has itself changed on cuban standards up to 3.5 star rating and is not better than for example in the above brisas Trinidad tour del Mar is the best to book a 4-star hotel such as the nearby or the blue Varadero Melia las antillas in Varadero, the both are cheaper than the sandals. And if one wanted to travel to Cuba should very soon and visit the many attractions including Havannan and Trinidad, as you can hear, from year to year worse it is...
