Romantic castle in a quiet location *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe whole castle area consists of several buildings. In four buildings has guest rooms or suites. The castle itself is not to stay at this hotel. Part of the old building horses. Immediate in front of the castle entrance there are enough hardstandings on a parking lot. We were warmly welcomed and were led to our room (124). This was on the first floor at the villa Christina with small balcony overlooking horse stables and riding. We had plenty of space, the bathroom with toilet was large enough. Unfortunately there is no in-room safe, a full stocked mini-bar. When we got to the room it was 20 degrees below, after we radiator on the highest level had rotated, it reached soon room temperature. The bed was just right, not too soft and not too hard, to spread fluffy feather pillows and blankets on. Cleanliness in all areas was top. The room was, while we had breakfast, tidy. The breakfast buffet was first excellent, large selection of everything which was good, everything was fresh and the sausage., - ham., and cheeses changed the next day. Eigerichte were freshly cooked to order. Perhaps what was missing, were fresh juices and more different flummeries (there was only apple strudel). The coffee was great. There were all food was continually refilled before it. The atmosphere in the vault was quaint and romantic in order to get in the sauna area, we had to go a little piece of through the castle garden. There was a small locker room, a Finnish sauna for a maximum of six people and a steam room for a maximum of four people (this was unfortunately defective), a large shower and a quiet room for up to five people with a tea corner and a fruit basket. Also sufficient fresh towels were available sauna. Our bathrobes (there are only two sizes) were already very worn and had no or torn down Belt loops, in a four-star hotel no! In the sauna area plants also shower gel and body lotion on. We were in the sauna area and never had any problems, most of the time we were alone. Linz is 20 kilometer.
