Acceptable hotel in one of the best ski resorts
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe enjojed in Ischgl 1 week of winter holidays, which were extended for 1 day due to main road closure caused by a lot of new snow and avalnche danger. This was probably a bigger problem for newcommers, waiting over the night in the valley.
Hotel was average. We booked family room.
The not so good experiences were following:
- reception desk: they are not very friendly and customer oriented, information you get are not accurate, they do not read your booking conditions well (tried to charge ski passes twice, discount for full prepayment has been taken in to the account after it has been claimed, etc)
- room was dark because snow has not been removed; child is 14 yeras and bunk bed was realy unconfortable - impression you get on theire web page is better
- there was a lot of noise over the night by some of the guests comming late back in to the room and very early in the morning due to moving the chairs (we were in the 1st floor above the lobby)
- self service breakfast was not very rich from the sort of species point of view (more for 2 or 3 star hotel)
The good experiences:
- dinner was very good
- staff in the dinning room very friendly (specially Samy and his co-worker with mustache) also roommaid was very frinedly and did the room well
- sauna and pool area very well
- excellent village Ischgl and ski areas Ischgl-Samnaun (CH)
