New, modern, but not quite ready *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThis modern hotel is relatively new and very big. It is a bit out of the ruins of Palmyra and centre with restaurants, but with taxi/car within easy reach (cost about two euro). With a long walk, it is also within walking reachable. Next door is another modern hotel, otherwise the environment is very quiet.
The staff was friendly, but seemed clumsy and inexperienced.
Due to construction it is only a provisional established restaurant. We were in the low season and (probably) so it was at the breakfast buffet only: six small croissants, three packs of butter, jam, two glasses juice. Very little for a five stars Hotel... On our request was the only waiter active and thus we got a omelets, coffee and tea.
In the entire hotel had a bar, looked however closed.
There are no Unterhaltung/sport possibilities, supposedly will soon become a pool built.
We got a nice, big suite (not booked). The furniture was new, modern and tastefully decorated. The room including the bathroom was very clean. We had a balcony not, only a view of the inner courtyard. Otherwise everything was available, what you want from a five stars Hotel. We recommend advice, to book only breakfast. Dinner or lunch that they should be in a restaurant in the centre take. We have, for example, in 'warm apple pie' very good food (see tip).
