Honeymoon in perfect hotel in a dream location *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AA very nice hotel, about 30 minutes away from the airport. Hotel and room are in good, recently renovated condition.
A beautiful park with palm trees and flowers to the hotel. It is open to the beach and you can always go to the water.
The beach is white, fine sandy and at low tide you can mean almost 300 meters.
The lounge chairs are all on the guarded meadows area. There you can escape then also, if you are traveling from the beach Boys enough has.
The room are large, very beautiful decorated. The beds are surrounded with a mosquito net, which has three entrances and therefore is unfortunately not very close. The bathrooms are large and very beautiful and pleasant tiled. The room have safety deposit box and TV with DW TV among other things.
On the balcony you can sit, must ensure, however, that no monkeys in the room and the fruit basket loot. Otherwise the whole herd and woods scratches on the balcony door.
The food is very good and also varied. It is continental breakfast, but also American and British style-and delicious local dishes. In the evening it is a la carte restaurant or the buffet.
If you have an early breakfast, for the five is also to all executed.
The service was always very friendly and attentive. The room were always clean and tidy and the beach and the food were unobtrusive but attentive care we.
We were for our honeymoon there (this was the hotel know). We were greeted with champagne, were given a room upgrade (bigger and second balcony) and the bed was with heart-shaped petals strewn.
Tip: the usual dollar tip for dinner or for the room service right hand or on the calculation write. Otherwise it takes the changer, minibar-inspector or the waiter from the table, all of a sudden the aggressively.
The solidarity among the employees is small!
Note: although pay with credit (debit card! not) no problem is, the only cash exchange against kenyan Shilling hotel. It does not and has no ATM.
Souvenirs: on safaris and the beach loads are offered at pictures and, in particular, wood carvings. Everything is a rip-off and most of the segment. The black wood is painted and no ebony. The prices range from 150 $for 15 $for small-to-large statues. The latter are approximately three average, kenyan monthly salaries!
About 200 meters from the hotel it is next to a few massage and hairdresser services also several large souvenir shops. Here, you could get the same carvings and figures without the stress and Gehandel in a good selection and quality for 1 $to ten dollars.
A few words to the inevitable beach boys: the behaviour of the beach boys ranged from pleasantly pushy and rude and friendly. For us the hotel were only low capacity and the neighboring hotel completely closed, according to the 'pressure' was on the remaining tourists. We found the beach Boys very rarely than pleasantly, also if we to their economic situation know.
A romantic evening stroll in the sunset is simply impossible, if you must constantly seller places (the a then also racism accuse 'you don't talk to africa?').
