Very nice old mountain lodge *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AFrom the outside the lodge at, how nice it is inside. The I hadn't expected, had a bad feeling, than I have seen the pictures. The lodge is great, the food is absolutely perfect. The drink prices were high. The rooms are not very big, but very nice and clean. There were even bathrobes. The bathroom is nice (with body lotion, etc.) you get hot water bottles in the bed in the evening. A mosquito net is not necessary, because of the amount. From the balcony you a view of the watering hole, where you can watch the animals. We saw only antelopes, Servalkatzen, Marabus and gazelles. Monkeys climb on the facade and the balconies, nice! There is a computer in the lobby with Internet access. The lodge is located at 2200 meters in the middle of a forest (or jungle?). It is spoken English. Unfortunately, the Mount Kenya was mostly in the clouds, so that we could not easily see. If someone has heights; it is high unhurried, without curves, without precipices. Suddenly, you're on 2200 meters and it has not been noted. There is a good road to the lodge. We just got back from sweet waters camp. Even the last 27 kilometer from diversion of the main road was good, which is rare in Kenya.
