Nice boutique hotel in Santa Monica *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe Shangri La in Santa Monica is a very stylish boutique hotel right on the Pacific Coast. The style is grandeur of 20 journeys/1930s &, it means it but it also for example. The rooms a bit smaller than usual in the United States. Here I had a bit more space - the closet was for example. After 2 suits, and two turtlenecks more or less crowded. The bathroom was also retro-style - sadly without separate shower, so that with a shower curtain in the bath shower. Apart from that, the room was very clean & despite the old world style with modern amenities (LCD TV)- so were able to highlight all separate dim lighting in the room. Internet (W-LAN & wired) is included in the room rate - definitely a Novum, since with expensive hotels this otherwise often still extra the hand delayed. The noise level was thanks to double glazed windows in limits. Yes, the windows are from the outer part was certainly do have "old" which is payable but the protected by - after inside the hotel there are then However, once again an additional glass wall that can be opened separately. The pool is clean & well-kept, however it was very small and not heated - so the jacuzzi in the already cool November preferred. On the roof of the hotel there is also a bar/club, the weekend good frequented - therefore there is an appropriate noise level in the hotel. Security is however ENDEAVORS, the other guests to allow a good night sleep. The price level is Santa Monica typical rather high, parking they'll do e.g. cheaper at the parking garage than hotel parking lot around the corner. Restaurants & bars and shops are in direct proximity on 3rd Street, by car is the hotel via the Santa Monica freeway or the PCH to reach. In conclusion, if you are going to decide, you should know it is a boutique hotel is - you pay for more so for great experience and the name as for room size and great facilities.
