We have used mostly the taxi, as it is very cheap and pleasant. However we have paid different prices for the same routes. Definitely ask before whether the taxi driver knows the way. There are very many taxis and many drivers are new.

the personnel is very friendly and helpful. The rooms very clean. But you are very limited without English. There is barely anyone speaking German.

The minimarket in the hotel has everything that you need.

we had a nice, large room. Everything very clean. The air-conditioner functioned faultlessly. Unfortunately there was only RTL as TV channel. There is even worse.

I would always again book the Sharjah Grand, however not during the Ramadan. It puts a lot of limitations. There is almost nothing going on from 13 o'clock till 19 o'clock. You are not allowed to drink, eat and smoke in the public. We were there from the end of September till the middle of October over there and it was still very hot.
We have made some tours. The city round trip was very interesting. One has seen a lot. Definitely get a city plan from Sharjah and Dubai. You mostly get it from the travel agency in the airport. Writing SMSs and making phone calls are without any problem. However I couldnt send any MMS. The hotel has PC with which you can also surf in the internet. 4 euro for an hour.
