Hotel Sheraton Miramar Resort

El Gouna was great. It was Egypt without the disturbing side effects. The hotel didn't only have its own beach but also its own (though artificially created but still beautiful) lagunas. The water temperature of the lagunas was always slightly colder than the temperature of the open ocean and thus there was a chilling effet there. But we didn't find out why it was like this as the water in the lagunas were always in motion.
The infrastructure in El Gouda was regulated well by the shuttle bus and the toc toc trains and you could get from one place to the other for cheap and without having to wait for a long time.
Both downtown and the marina offered several different opportunities to go out and have fun.

The staff was (almost) all the time very courteous and polite. Of course, there was one or the other, who had an off day, but that was only an exception. The boys who worked at the outdoor smokers area are recommendable. They were great! Very courtous and attentive. On sea-food evening we had rather bad luck.

Oh my god - everything tasted so good. I reallly had to watch out not to eat too much, otherwise I would have really gotten fat. But sometimes I missed the fruit typical for the country for dessert. Though they served dates, they hardly ever served mangos.
Apart from that everything was very good and a lot. Also the bread for breakfast was great. But you couldn't find any fries for other fast food for dinner in this hotel.

The gym was equipped well. 2 treatmills, 2 cross trainers, 2 bikes, 1 slider, dumbbells, excersise machine etc. So everything you need in a gym. There was also an instructor available almost all the time. They didn't really offer any courses tough.
The internet connection was good, but a little bit expensive. If you take into accout that you paid like 3€ for checking your emails briefly.
We didn't use the pool etc.

In my opinion the rooms were nicely arranged. Not pompous or overloaded but modest and nice. Every rooms had a small terrace with two pool chairs, where you could relax after taking a shower and enjoy the mild climate.
There was a hot water boiler and several drinks, which were included in all inclusive.
I don't know about half-board. But the munchies were not included, not even in all inclusive, what I didn't like as it's litterally just peanuts. Oh, well. The king size bed was super comfortable and also the other equipment was good. The closets were big enough and the size of the room was appropriate

You better get a weekly ticket for the shuttle bus right at the beginning of your stay - it's worth it. No matter where you are, you can hop on any bus and continue your journey with it.
Once take part in the marina evening. Open-air live shows and eating. Do kite surfing in any case :-)!
