Hotel Sheraton la Caleta Resort

Located on the quiet corner of Adeje and only 25 minutes driving time away from the airport (25-30 Euros per taxi).
Excursions of course should be done by car.
We didn't manage to the the Barranco del Infiernieo (very nearby) this year again but go and have a look at this great spot of the island once.

I was more than surprised. Apparently all the service staff got training or learnt foreign languages. With a bit of English everyone got on here.
Room was clean everyday and really "the best".

A few restaurant were closed because of the low attendance. Wasn't a problem at all, though because nearby (10 minutes on foot) a lot of alternatives were offered. If you like Italian the "La Nonna" was to be recommended!!!
We like the hotel because of it's still family like atmosphere. To compare we looked at the new Melia hotel in Alcala. Really great but again (though) quite impersonal and a bit sterile.

Pool was clean, cleaned every day and equipped with enough umbrellas.
If you liked to do sport could amply run directly along the promenade or walk (10 kilometers). At 7 a.m. in the mornings an experience and pure relaxation.

Rooms were equipped with everything that todays tourist needed. Enough in size and furnished tastefully.
We definitely recommend additionaly booking the Club-Lounge. Rooms with an ocean view in the top floors (4th and 5th floor, daily newspaper, private internet access, breakfast in peace and quiet and near the ocean as well as drinks and snacks the whole day).

Telephone calls from the hotel I would definitely avoid out of cost reasons. A hire car (about 50 Euros/day) should be calculated for day excursions and concerning the weather the Canaries are good for a holiday the whole year round. We had temperatures of about 25 - 35°C but with a slight wind very pleasant.
