Great Holiday
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThis was our 6th visit to Laura Beach but first time to this hotel.not the last! Met many nice people of different nationalities. all there to enjoy themselves and the weather. No faults found. Very clean everywhere. Staff friendly and helpful.Food exceptional with choices, hot and fresh.Daytime entertainment and Animation team very good David ,Ali, Tito,Gina Serdal and all others. show each night and live music each night 10 to 12 which is not the norm in other hotels we have been to. The gardens are beautifully maintained by hardworking people who by result are proud of their gardens. at the end of the gardens was a beautiful clean beach plenty of bed chairs and security,Plenty of chairs and loungers around the many pools. Indoor pool was good but changing rooms not connected by a door from pool.lovely room 9th floor overlooking pools gardens and sea. lounge bar 24 hrs. plenty of seating.
Location
very few shops around need to take bus to town or market. hotel do have a bus service. we go back to Lara beach and have seen a lot of developement of flats and hotels one day maybe a strip of shops and restaurants but all hotels are all inclusive. Not for people who like to walk out to different bars or eateries.
all staff friendly and most speak or understand english Dishes of apples and sweets always on reception desk for guests to help themseves. soft drinks on table in reception and tea coffee water availble in all bars or self service 24hrs.
Lady in reception name began with D spoke very good english and very helpful. Also there is a guest relation desk and the lady there very helpful.
Thomas Cook rep Barbara very friendly and helpful.
Gastronomy
Very impressed with all available foods at each meal. lots of fruit but puddings and cakes very sweet.
snack bar not that good same each day. hot and cold.
Sport & Entertainment
supermarket shop in hotel expensive. but chemist and shop only
minutes walk away. some facilities to pay for pool tables ten pin bowling internet and slot macines.
archery shooting boules darts etc free.
large disco till 2pm.
Room
Lovely room balcony sea view. usually an extra charge but in the winter often given as norm if available. bath with a good shower. baths were quite high to clinb into did suggest to hotel that as they are replaced in future to fit baths 4 " lower. mini bar free and refilled each morning. safe in wardrobe free. no kettles in rooms. TV has only 1 english channel BBC world. telephone in bathroom and bedside table. most room have lge double and a single bed. 2 armchairs.
Tips and recommendations
Yes usual to room maid. porter. Tip boxes for kitchen staff and waiters in dining room.but no one expected to be tipped but all were pleased if tip given or put on tray.Waiter service from bar in lounges or queue at bar.
good reception on mobiles. calls to uk approx £1.14 per minute text 40p to send or receive. free wi if for laptops. so skype able to be used.
