Hotel Siva Grand Beach

The location of the hotel was wonderful. The far stretching sandy beach was very beautiful and very well-kept.
Aviation noise? Actually, there wasn't any, unless they had to do a loop - they did it directly above the hotel.
But that happend maybe twice a day - and it wasn't so loud anyway.
There were lots of excursion opportunities - we went to the coral reefs! From the submarine with glassed windows - wonderful.

The staff was very friendly and almost all of them spoke German and English. Of course, they were happy about a small tip but they really deserved one.
In lots of reviews I read that people complained about the long waiting time for the drinks. The waiters had to wait on 10 tables with about 60 people and they had to pour the drinks theirselves - there was no barman. And that just took 5 minutes. And when on holiday, I have time, haven't I? I think they did their jobs well - better than some German waitresses/waiters maybe.

Those who complain here - should rather stay at home. Food was constantly served nonstop from 5:00am to 11:00pm. 3 restaurants, 2 pool grills, 4 bars - breakfast, snacks, lunch, dinner - everything very good.
Everyday there were different themes according to which the food buffet was served- we have to especially mention: the desserts - they tasted very delicious.
The cleanliness in short: they were constantly wiping and cleaning. Maybe not as thoroughly as at home in Germany. But for those who complain: We were not in Germany, but in Egypt. I don't think you can compare those two countries.

The pool was very clean and there was a pool bar :-).
The entertainment team has to be praised. They offered aerobics, yoga, volleyball, soccer and a lot more everyday. And in the evening there was a different, very-well prepared show every night (Blues Brothers, Dreamgirls, cabaret). They also understood German pretty well, though they were a group of lots of mixed nationalities (Germans, Ukrainian, Swedish, Italian)... grade A.
There were enough pool chairs on the beach and the pool. Too bad that the German guests always reserved the pool chairs... we watched sunrise at 05:30am - the pool chairs were already reserved by then.

The rooms got daily cleaned and they were in good condition. You got a bottle of water for brushing your teeth everyday.
As the Siva was already an old hotel, there were small signs of deterioration - but we didn't mind that at all.

I really got a lot at the Germans - for those who're not like this - SORRY. Our conclusion: We spend 2 wonderful weeks in Egypt and in the Siva and we would visit again any time!!!
