Hotel Sonia Village

The hotel is situated on the bank, about 800 m away from a small place Gerakani. It's about 500 m till the bus stop, which is situated right on the traffic street, but you find no time schedule when the buses come and when they leave, you have to ask that directly by the reception or direct from the bus driver. The transfer time to the airport lasts about 45 min till 1 hour.

The reception personnel speaks very good German better than some Germans!!! The whole personnel is really very friendly and speaks super English and a little bit German! There were fresh hand towels every 3 days, the room was cleaned every day!

The food was really great, totally different than the other people have described over! There was a warm meal at the buffet every day and it was grilled twice a week and once in a week there was greek evening. Further there were fresh vegetables like cucumbers, tomatos, onions, olives, carrots and a big bowl of zaziki etc...You have never seen empty bowls with fruits and vegetables, the pesonnel has always changed them. Well one complains about the food, he should go to the 5 star deluxe hotel in order to fulfill his demands over there!!!

We were only once in the pool, as we got back from the day trip. (else on the beach). The pool is about 1.30 m deep in the deepest part. The lying chairs are free of charge at the pool. The sea is very clean just like the beach, it's purely rocky on the first 3 meters of the water, there I would suggest to swim with the bathing shoes, it's pretty cheap to buy them over there.
There are a minimarket, baskeball, volleyball field available and there's also a childrenplaying spot.

Rooms about 20 sq m, balcone about 1,20 wide and 4 m long with clothsline and three chairs and a table. We have never used the air-conditioner, because the window curtain was covered with insects fence and there was always a small wind from the sea. We have had three german channels available (super Rtl, Viva2, RTL2), the bed sheets just like the hand towels were changed twice a week.

No problem with mobile network accessiblity, but there is just in the hotel entrance a very cheap card telephone, where we have made phone calls for 5 min only for 1,35 euro!!
