Totally disappointed
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe photos of the hotel on its internet site are totally misleading.
The hotel room is very simple, inadequate - doesn't justify its price.
Rooms haven't been renovated for a long time. In our case the door didn't lock - needed to change room.
Different prices for Greeks and international tourists (unfair)
The services provided are very poor, and none of them was included in the price (extra charge for wi-fi internet connection, sunshades and sunbeds and even water). Very poor food quality. Questionable hygiene and cleanliness.
Guests mainly from Balkan countries, and mainly families.
Location
Close to the beach, but the beach isn't up to the standards.
No shopping or nightlife facilities in the area - nothing interesting to do, nowhere to go, unless you are willing to travel long distances by car.
Most members of the staff are not trained and in some cases unfriendly and frowned. Most of them are foreigners which are unable to communicate in Greek (problem for Greek tourists).
Poor room cleaning. Found problems in the bathroom - had to complain.
Gastronomy
There is a restaurant and a cafe in the hotel premises.
The hotel restaurant has a depressing atmosphere and the quality of the food was very poor. One day over breakfast we saw that they served the remaining salad from the previous day's dinner. No water is served in the restaurant, not even on breakfast, as you have to buy bottled water yourself. In another case there was no one to inform us what the sauces served consisted of - big problem in case anyone is allergic or something.
The hotel cafe is much better though and the staff working there much more friendly and helpful. Food and drinks served in the cafe though, are not included in the price.
Sport & Entertainment
No free internet access. You have to pay an extra charge for it, and even if you do, the range doesn't reach the rooms (!)
The pool photos on the internet site are misleading. The pool is very small, a pond actually, and it is suitable only for children. The hygiene of the water is questionable (there is a hygiene certificate visible on the reception counter, valid through 2009 !!)
Sunbeds and sunshades, ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE!!!!! There's an extra charge for those too!!!
Room
The Size of the rooms was small and the equipment of those was very poor and inadequate. The furniture were old-fashioned (matter of taste I suppose) and the air-conditioning didn't function properly.
The hotel site mentions that the last renovation was in 2003 but that's questionable (either way that's 7 years ago)
Tips and recommendations
No value for money whatsoever!!! The overall problem is that the hotel was overpriced for the services and the facilities provided. Customers who book through a travel agency may get better offers at lower prices but those who book individually are taken advantage of! On top of that we got the worse possible treatment when we complained upon check-out, and we were threatened to pay more than the agreed amount in case we checked-out of the hotel earlier!
