Great location; great restaurant *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AOn the way to Italy we used the hotel as a stop off/night used. For our needs (we travel with a dog) so nice, it is almost a shame, only a night to relax.
The hotel can be reached via a strongly rising narrow street. The hotel is located outside of kriens. It is the last hotel on this street, so that there is no or hardly any cars. The hotel is directly on beautiful hiking trails.
We booked through the hotel's website was easy and and breakfast 190 Swiss franc.
The hotel houses a total of 20 beds in different categories. We inhabited a double room with a huge balcony with a view of Lake Lugano, as well as private bathroom. The hotel also has rooms with shared bathroom in the hallway.
The transportation situation to and from the hotel front desk was very fast and friendly. Our bags we had in the room bring, what I did not bad.
the room was very clean and large, the beds very comfortable and the furnishing was nice and on the reconverted into (flat screen tv, telephone, free Wi-Fi Internet, NESPRESSO machine including complimentary coffee, hair dryer, two bottles of water). The bathroom was a bit small and old, but adequate.
In the evening we ate in the hotel's own Resort. The food was great! I have never seen so tasty, so exceptional, with so many surprises, palate tickle and Ohs horse and eat! The words are missing to me, when I think about it, but it was simply a different world. The price was high, but the food was really worth it!
The included breakfast (no buffet) was quite simple which concerned the selection, but it was more delicious and one became full.
Conclusion: nice hotel in a great location with a great view of Lake Lugano. Dogs are welcome and there are lots of nice designated hiking trails. Distance from the highway from.
Special feature: the hotel supports the long-term unemployed, they shall be constructed by and be incorporated in, which was very seldom in Switzerland. I think nice, if a hotel is welcoming. And, the kitchen learn, is a permanent sure!
