Desolat hotel in central location
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel is recently Bulgaria Hotel. It is centrally located in the pedestrian area of Plovdiv.
From the outside, the facade of the hotel with mirrored glass looks renovated and modern. It is advertised including room rates starting at 9.95 €.
Once you pass through the lobby door to the hotel, offers the charm of bygone socialist times. This hotel has obviously not been renovated for decades. Breakfast is not offered at the hotel, but in the pedestrian zone, there are some cafes.
Location
The hotel is located in the pedestrian area of Plovdiv. Everything good can be done on foot. In 1, 5 hours, one can discover the city's sights on foot. Unlimited opportunities for shopping are available.
The staff speaks a little bit english.
The problem are starting, if you travel by car. The direct approach to the hotel by car is not possible, because it is in the pedestrian area. So you have to carry the luggage. There are car parks not as good as in the inner city. If you actually affected one of the few places, it will cost 1 leva per hour.
The reception staff speaks English. That was the good news. Otherwise, unfortunately, only bad news: The rooms are in a parlous state.

Room
The rooms are in a parlous state in the walls of the room there are big holes through which the dirt on the bed trickles. Everything looks dirty and gray, the beds are saggy. On this occasion I have found that there are actually more mattresses with springs. The technical condition of the device, especially in the bathroom was disastrous, so you can experience a hotel like this in Bulgaria only rarely.
