Hotel Sunny Beach (existiert nicht mehr)

The hotel is situated at the end of Stalis, but was not a negative thing at all. Through out the whole Stalis there are many loud small shops, bars and restaurants. By 20 minutes of walking you reach Malia, where the night life goes on. One should check it out once. One has to cross over only the narrow street in order to get direct to the beach, a cat jump. The transportation time to the airport takes about 30-35 minutes.
The busconnection is aslo good, every 30 minutes there's a bus driving to Heraklion and Malia (approx. 2,50)

The service in Sunny beach is good. The personnel at the reception is friendly and helpful when you have questions. One can get along with German, but one should still have some broken English in case the communication in German doesnt take place.

There are a restaurant, a snackbar and poolbar.
There's something for everyone during the breakfast, afternoon and evening meals (buffet form). What i've missed a little were the greek specialties. But the food was diversified and always tasted good.
By All Inclusive one had to get his antialcoholic drinks such as cola, water etc himself from the filling pump. One gets beer, wine, raki and ouzo at every bar. (Alcoholic drinks were comprised by AI)

The rooms are clean and the furniture is also good kept. An additional bed in doubler room also provided. Telephone, radio, air-conditioning, refrigerator, rentable safe and TV are iin the rooms. Refrigerator costs about 20 Euro for a week. Watch out, the air conditioning is turned on itself when one has booked AI. One can turn it off himself, which I recommend to do, otherwise one is rather getting frozen during the nights. As German TV-programms there were ZDF, RTL and SAT 1 available.
The shower room is small but enough. The shower is ok and washbowls also. Hand towels and bed sheets are also regularly changed. One should however take hair dryer with himself, as this is not available there. And there are aslo no sockets in the shower room. The rooms are not clairaudient, and rather positioned at the end, so you dont get to hear the noise from the street.

Price/performance ratio is good, cigarettes are cheaper than in Germany.
One should definitley travel with a bus, as this is a great experience.
