Clean hotel close to the beach *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe rooms are very spacious and unlike most hotel rooms not only a room, but from a separate living and sleeping areas. The equipment of the kitchen area was very good, so was a refrigerator with a large freezer, a microwave, a coffee maker, as well as all necessary cutlery/utensils available. The towels were not changed on a daily basis, which was however not further bad, since a number of fresh towels were in the closet.
The beach is from the hotel in about five minutes walking distance. The beach is a small restaurant, in which also snacks and ice cream can be sold, as well as a clean public toilet. There you can Pedal boats, canoes, etc. can be rented. Not to be missed the boat trip to marine grottoes, the beach is offered by the fishermen (depending on number 15-20 €per person).
The center of armacao de Pera is about 30 minutes walk from the hotel. Diagonally across from the hotel at the hotel Vila Senhora da Rocha was a mini supermarket, in which all important things are to be found, but are expensive. Therefore recommends a major shopping in the intermarche, about ten minutes walk in to reach, in which the Portuguese shopping.
For excursions in the area to be able to undertake, it is advisable, to rent a car. We have these in advance on the Internet about a rental car-agents made, the US has a car from Europcar gives. The branch from Europcar is less than five minutes walk from the hotel and the management was very smooth.
The meals we had booked half board, breakfast (8-10 o 'clock) and a dinner were included (19-22 o' clock). The breakfast selection was not so large, as you know from other hotels, included in our opinion but everything, what you need for a breakfast. Especially the bread rolls were excellent, there was even whole wheat bread. In addition croissants, toast, three sorts of sausage (Mortadella, salami, cook ham), 1 sort of cheese, several sorts of jam, boiled eggs, cereals, two types of cereal, milk, juices, water, tea, coffee. At night the choice was not too big, but you always got full and the quality of the food was good. Especially the fish was always very delicious, as well as the pudding for dessert. Furthermore, there was always salad, fruit, bread, oils, and various sauces.
All in all a hotel with a very good price/performance ratio, in the condition of the most beautiful days of the year to spend can.
