The hotel is centrally located in Manhattan corner of park ave., 50th street, next underground station 51st street Lexington ave. /. Rockefeller Center is within walking distance, otherwise there is direct access by U-Bahn anywhere (even to JFK airport, or taxi for 45 $fixed price). In the hotel and nearby there are several restaurants of different price categories. The Waldorf-Astoria decor is upscale, as the name promises. It's fun, guests of the different expectations in its luxurious Ballkleidern or creative Halloween-costumes to admire. The staff are very friendly and competent also. We used the front desk for a flight information because of the snow on the day of departure and they helped us quickly. In the lobby there is cuddle lot, Wi-Fi, included in the room. In the 19. Floor (expensive), there was a Spa area. Unfortunately the rooms not so much, which is the same as the reception area. The facilities are good (flat screen tv with HBO, in-room safe, hair dryer, air conditioning, telephone, and so on), but they are relatively small and little storage space. For a short stay with two people it is safe enough, but as a family it was quite cramped. The bathroom is clean, but has its best years are past already longer. Also there are hardly any storage space, therefor high-quality shampoo etc..
