Hotel The Waldorf Astoria

We have married in new York and this holiday (1. new York, 1. SF, 1 FL to descend.) was our honeymoon at the same time. We wanted to let's smash and fooled us have at some reviews in new York. We wanted to treat us the famous Waldorf Astoria once in a lifetime and revel in the flair of past times.

So... Check-in/check-out have worked super... Staff was very polite, helpful and nice and in all the hotel areas. English are but absolutely necessary, however one must say but also, that the staff was very hard, to be understood. They speak slowly and clearly, very helpful be can; Yes what O).

Have we not use the restaurant, since it in the area very, very many, different opportunities there. You must at all in new York at not die of hunger and thirst, since at each corner at least three ESS, drink and fruit stalls are, not to forget the numerous Deli's.

Since the hotel was fully booked quite (Spanish and arabs) we had also not many opportunities in the room selection. the means no upgrade on the towers or other higher room possible. We are, after all, in the 17. Cleaning/service... now it comes!... Introdution: we have bribed good, right from the start, with dollar and chocolate... The hotel is unbeatable, what concerns the location. Many attractions are within easy walking distance to nearby and to reach. Right in front of the door is the metro station (Wochenicket 29 $, which you for all transport can and the really paid power, as taxi's are also not so expensive, but often are stuck in a traffic jam).

Our conclusion:
The Waldorf Astoria has lived in my opinion only by its name and the myth, surrounds it. It is many small, nice details, the people in this hotel can discover, date from the recent times. But with the benefit of hindsight, it would have handed us, this hotel as another sightseeing point to visit, because it has more than four stars and the rates are not justified relatively high.

Tip: for hotel guests is, on a certain day, a leadership, with champagne and canapes, the Waldorf towers in available, what we but unfortunately only to have received late.
