great holiday in a very nice hotel *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A Athe hotel lies right on the marina-I wanted to dive a week and my wife a week = perfect combination. El gouna is to say, that it happens very exclusive compared to the giant hotels in Hurghada and Sharm it. The Egyptians were friendly and less intrusive. The hotel lies right on the Marina and the diving school (blue brothers diving = separate report) is directly in the hotel integrated only about 50 meters and from the boat station. Our room was very nice, large, in very good condition (it has everything worked, a small repair was within ten minutes!) and very clean. We had a room with a balcony facing the lagoon. In December, it is very nice, about 25 °C warm and the water has 23° had. The hotel consists of several areas, it has two swimming pools (a family pool and a quiet pool) and a common restaurant. In addition there is a lobby bar, a disco, a Sandwhichbar etc. generally the food was found to be of the highest quality, a bit more variation would but you always found something. There was every day two vegetarian options as well as a lot of fresh salad in European quality and very delicious sweet food. What we really liked, was that you could either put drinks or food to refill at the self-service station. We don't recommend the 'specialty restaurant' Dolce Vita-for Italian have no talent... The breakfast was very nice with cereals, fruit salad, etc. all in all, the offer was high (by the guests-there were mainly German and English, as well as Dutch) and also a little bit more expensive than anywhere else in Egypt, but you can also go for a stroll in the evening at the port without constantly harassed and chatted up to be. The hotel is under Belgian management and the entire condition was quite good, very clean and the people working. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and stay there again.
