Super hotel, but... *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel consists of the Rihana Inn: 3 stars, absolutely tiny rooms, but nicely situated around the pool. Around the Rihana Resort: 4 stars, super rooms, nice and big with terrace or balcony, TV (RTL, VOX, Das Zweite).
Room cleaning very clean!! The premises are very clean and well taken care of. 3 pools each with a pool bar (soft drinks, beer, water. At the inn pool there's also ice cream, at the sunset pool there are also cocktails) Beach bar with grill at the lagoon, beach bar at the main beach (transfer by bus).
Location
5 minutes by foot to town. Town is very pretty but there's not much going on and not so many stores/bars! It takes 30 minutes by foot or 5 minutes by bus or little taxi to the harbor (marina) there - see above!
Tip: definitely change money, if you pay in Euro you'll only be ripped off and will pay, for example, 7 Euros instead of 4 for 2 beers.
First: the service in the food and beverage area is very good!
But!!!
We had specially booked a honeymoon package:

welcome drink - orange juice from a machine in plastic cups!!!
Special honeymoon room - exactly the same tiny room that everyone else had, no flowers, no congratulations, nothing. When we asked at reception what the difference is we were told that we had a better mattress??????? and also a view of the pool???????? Are the windows in all the other rooms nailed shut??? We then decided to pay 10 extra Euro per day and we moved to the resort. The man at reception actually tried to tell us though that we needed to help moving the bags???? Haa??? And he really meant it too!!! Then checking out: a bill over 142,70 Euro. Because we had already stayed at a 3 Corners Hotel we got a 10% discount on extras like minibar, going to the restaurant, etc. Then the bill with the discount: 143,50 Euro????? Ha??????? Hallo?????? What do they understand a discount to be??????????? We tried to get an explanation at reception: The exchange rate is different from what the computer printed.
That was my 5th vacation in Egypt and my last. I won't put up with these rip-offs any more. They hold out their hands for a tip even when you have to get your luggage onto the bus yourself.
Gastronomy
For a 4 star hotel there is definitely too little selection in terms of foods, the meat was almost always dry or tough.
Otherwise the food tastes ok except for the desserts - crazy!!!!! the egyptians can really bake.
Hygiene and cleanliness very good.
