Tenerife: yes! Tropical playa: no! *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AUnfortunately confirmed the first impression all the twelve days. The hotel has seven floors and tight 700 rooms one of the appropriations in playa de las americas. The front desk was a pain. Only speak English. At the beginning we got a key for the room for the luggage. No further info. This action should make clear to us, that we still have a 4.5 hour to wait had to we the room could. A statement only after asking to get English. Arrival ten o'clock Rooms at 16:30 o'clock...
the room:
-molded air conditioner
moldy shower curtain-
-dirty duvet
-extremely lumpy beds, Click and squeak with every movement
-Sand, dirt and hair everywhere on the floor

-Toilet ran continuously

Hotel in general:
- getting old
relatively little German guests

Pool was relatively small
-hotel smelled extremely strongly of chlorine

Buffet/meal:

Location
The location is actually very nice. Apart from the noise from 20 o'clock until about 06 o'clock. During the day always traffic.
The beach is within a ten minutes walk. Five minutes walk to the first stores to see. From Prüddelladen to lacoste store everything was there.
The possibilities for excursions there were very many: teide tour about 40 €, la gomera 50 €, siam park (10 minutes away) 30 €, 30 €loro park, jet skiing and parasailing and banana boat flying for a hundred (Paarpreis)€ it is worthwhile in any case... 30 minutes jetski, 15 minutes parasailing, banana boat 15 minutes, it is for a lowest tour...
Beach: nice very fine black sand... Blue cool water... Very nice
Friendliness that there was not really. I know that from spain rather different. There was no 'ola' or something like that.
Language: No German! Spanish or English (fluent English not)
Cleaning service was a joke. Beds were made and that was it. Daily complaints about dirt in the room or at the hotel were not serious taken... It always said :' it is just someone who cleans or repariert'... This is however only happened once. The only, because we travel guide are gone.
Cockroaches in the dining room were under the table from the staff pushed instead of disposing of it.
Service staff only speak spanish. All made a bored impression. I would make my job so, I would be out of a job.

The quality was very poor. Fruit and vegetables were cut already lunch and dinner served. Everything was already dried out. The rest of the food was always cold and tasted rather bland.
Some plants dead roaches on the buffet and in the dining room. As the service staff she has said, shot under the table or that the buffet. Do not take...
The staff was too slow. about hundred tables and 3-5 people who need to worry about everything. Used crockery partly 15 minutes on the tables. So they could no longer sit at the tables. Or just had to remove yourself, get new cutlery and glasses.
Every day the same music. All popular songs. But only instrumental. Very it is a pity that virtually every day the same.

Sport & Entertainment
Pool was small but relatively clean. Swim time from 10-18 o'clock. With Lifeguards!
Hotel Animation on the whole very good. Snake charmers, Papagayenshow, music and dance numbers. This was also the same every week.
entertainment and party in the city were good. The whole city is a party area. Unfortunately also the noise at night and in the morning the whole dirt or beer bottles everywhere as glass.
CAUTION at the Alcohol. The bars with great offers as: pay 1 cocktail, get the second free of charge and in addition still 4-6 short (liquor).
But: this is not a regular alcohol.! Three different cocktails and tasted all the same. Extremely alcohol. The bars sell liquor produced any cheap... (this dangerous experience also had to make other guests, with whom you talk has) three cocktails and the toilet, headaches and stomach problems are your best friends.
Beach: big, wide, clean, many possibilities smart snacks or drinks... There are unfortunately many illegal vendors: ' Sunglases?' no thank you! 'why not' get lost 'original gucci sunglasses come only a' no! Please go... 'only five euros' (only at the stand up and speak up they were away)

Rooms are relatively large therefor:

Mattress worn out, kitchen because of the Drecks not usable. Tv with rtl and sat in the first time but if you need vacation TV? ☺
There was no minibar. Therefor a fridge stuck.
Unfortunately it was a mark of 4-5.
Tips and recommendations
On the pillows for cleanliness didn't work. Save your money.
In any case, to loro/siam park.
Water sports to be made.
If you vacation quiet to spend wants is in playa de las americas in the wrong place... Then rather 'los Chrisianos ' or left to 'costa adeje'. This is shopping etc. everything possible only at night it is much quieter.
