South Tyrol was well worth a trip *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel was located in the small village Vals, which was close to Mühlbach. The hotel had a very good location in the village, on a height, so it also had sunshine very long... We had a Vital Suite which was recently newly constructed. So the condition was also best. The room was always very clean and also the bathroom was cleaned very well. We had a holiday with half board. The food was perfect, yes very good actually. The tourists came from Italy, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, so also well "mixed".
Location
The hotel was located in Pustertal and from there in a half an hour to Brunico or Brixen. Also Bozen and Merano were actually 40 minutes away. We saw also Madonna di Campiglio and Alta Badia, really worth seeing with the Dolomites background.
The owners as well as all of the staff were super nice and also helpful and as usual in this region of course bilingual. Our tiny tot liked the game room, felt very comfortable and liked to play there.
Gastronomy
The food (breakfast, snack Jause, dinner) were perfect and always very nicely arranged. For the salad there was a buffet with an exceptionally large selection. The same also for the breakfast buffet. The restaurant was very modern and divided in several rooms, so that there was never the impression that it was a large hotel. The service staff was very attentive and nice and served us very well.
Sport & Entertainment
The spa area, which had been newly constructed, had an indoor pool with a glass door; which led outside. We enjoyed it on the only one rainy day, was great. There was also a gym room, sauna, and all imaginable massages. The hotel was really well furnished, and most importantly everything new and a modern, but typical South Tyrolean style.
Room
We had the Vital Suite, which included a mini-bar and balcony. Flat screen TV was available, as all other necessary articles, as bath robes, slippers etc. The room was cleaned very well and fresh hand towels were always available.
Tips and recommendations
The price-performance ratio was absolutely fine in this hotel. The always polite owner couple was always in a good mood and ready for all suggestions.
