Hotel Vantaris Palace

Situated right at the beach. Some supermarkets are available at the main road behind the hotel, so you can get drinks, food and other stuff easily. Some amusement facilities are nearby, but in general there is not much going on. Good for a relaxed beach holiday, but not for having a big party.

Good things first: Staff at the reception was very kind and helpful. All questions were answered immediately and good advice was given. Commnad of German and English was excellent.

The staff of the restaurant and the beach bar are a different topic. In general, they were rather unfriendly. It was very difficult to communicate as well in English or German, not talking about the fact that some ordered dishes were not served. It also took a very long time to be served, especially in the beach bar.

There is a restaurant, a beach bar and a main bar. Beach bar serves some selected food and drink during the day. Breakfast and dinner are only served in the restaurant.

Cleanliness was fine, but the quality of food was disappointing in our view. Very repetitive, very limited choice and in general tasteless. We eventually decided to have dinner outside the hotel after some days.

Pool is nice, but be prepared for children jumping of the bridge in the middle at all time. Besides the pool there are several other activities offered (fitness area, tennis, massage, ...).

The beach is very nice indeed. There are sunbeds offered for 2,50 per day (including sunscreens). The water is clean, but swimming was not allowed for three out of seven days due to high waves. It is to mention that the beach was not crowded, even in high season.

Our room was nice. Nothing special, but we had a balcony, a decent bed, a safe (charged additionally), a small TV, AC, fridge. Cleanliness was fine in general, but on our arrival one of the sheets was dirty.

Stay away from the place if you want to party, it is fine for a relaxed holiday. Don't go there if you are single.
