Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AUnfortunately we were dazzled by the pictures we saw on television. Everything looked great and we booked the early bird deal. Then came the first bad reviews...and there was no going back. From outside the hotel looked really chic, but definitely built with haste, since when you looked closely something was a bit lacking. We can't recommend the cleaning service either. We arrived at night - the next morning while showering I noticed a sick stain from the previous guests down the side of the toilet bowl - despite the notice saying it had been cleaned! This wasn't removed the whole week we stayed!!! So much for hygiene! On one day the only thing they did was smooth down the sheets.
Food was boring - always chicken, fish or dry meatballs. Nothing special. Quality varied. Still, it definitely filled us up.
In the hotel's 'shop' everything is totally overpriced. For one pack of cigarettes it costs about £3.50. We got them for about £2.50 in the bazaar. Flips flops that cost £18 in the shop cost about £7 in the bazaar.
We thought the cooks in the snack bar were really great. Always cheerful and always smiling. The entertainment team were also great, although 'Boss Crocodile' came across as somewhat conceited. Distanced himself from the normal people.
Location
No problems with the beach - were always there. The pier was a bit cramped due to the crowd of loungers and it was always too busy to lie by the pool. The bazaar nearby is great - you get everything without being yammered away at.
The guys at the snackbar are always cheerful, but the young lady is rather prickly and unfriendly.
Gastronomy
Yeah, like we said, it was ok. Turkish guests were treated preferentially - tables reserved, drinks brought right away, when we had to collect our own or only get them after we'd eaten!
Sport & Entertainment
Great evening shows. Great entertainment. During the daytime, the communal fishing was a bit annoying.
Room
Never cleaned properly. One day not even the towels were changed. On the day before we left, they didn't bother to fill up the minibar properly. When we complained, we were given a great big bottle of water for our journey back. Balcony was lovely.
Tips and recommendations
On the whole it was ok, but we've been happier in 4* hotels than here. We'd not visit again.
